Level Sense Function
The Level Sense function can be used when you want to control the sample collector to
collect the total sample represented by the total peak area of selected peaks, and collect
this sample in a single fraction.
When this function is activated the signal going above or below a threshold activate the
Level Sense relay. It is necessary to adjust the Threshold value for optimal results. The
Level Sense function is turned on and off by time programming.
Time Slice Function
The Time Slice function is used when you want to partition a selected peak into a number
of segments. At the completion of each segment, the sample collector is advanced to the
next sample vial by the Peak Sensor Relay.
The Time Slice function can be triggered (turned on or off) by time programming, by Peak
Sense events (peak start, peak end, or peak valley) and by Level Sense events. When
the Trigger parameter is On (On Time, On Peak or On Level), the Peak Sensor relay is
activated or pulsed initially, and thereafter for a specified time interval expressed in
seconds entered under the Period field. The Peak Sensor relay is activated when the
Trigger state changes (from on to off, or off to on).
NOTE:
The Peak Sense or Level Sense functions do not have to be on in order
to use the Time Slice function that is triggered by Peak Sense or Level
Sense.
