5.3 Local operation
5.3.1 Locking of the configuration mode
The 7500 RTG can be protected in two ways against unauthorized changing of instru-
ment data, numerical values or factory settings:

can be released again either via the display or by communication.
Hardware lock:
The instrument is locked by pressing the O

The lock is shown on the display by the symbol and can

be unlocked again
via the display by pressing the O

F keys at the same time again. It is
not
possible to unlock the hardware by communication.
All parameters can de displayed even if the instrument is locked.
