The purpose of the phase unbalance protection is to detect phase
discontinuity and abnormal unbalance of the power system.
The operation of the unbalanced load function is based on the
relation between the negative phase sequence I

and the positive
phase sequence I

. For the relay to be able to measure the
correct unsymmetry, it is important that the phase order of the
energizing currents is correct.
The phase unbalance protection operates with definite time
characteristic and it is mainly used for signalling.
The setting of the phase unbalance protection is performed in
the menu called IL SETTING/I2> Set.
