MAINTENANCE
Span Flushing Procedure
The purpose of flushing the machine is to remove sand and debris from the pipeline. Excessive accumulation
of sand in the machine also adds weight and can cause structural damage to the machine.
The Flushing Process Should Be Performed:
•
After system installation.
•
After pump repair.
•
After structural repair.
•
Seasonally - prior to operating the system and after the operating season is over.
•
As often as necessary according to debris or sand content in the water. Excessive sprinkler problems (clog-
ging) could be an indication of high debris or sand content.
NOTE
• Excessive sprinkler problems (clogging) could be an indication of high debris or sand content.
!
DANGER
• DO NOT START THE FLUSHING PROCEDURE WHILE THE SYSTEM IS UNDER WATER PRESSURE.
REMOVING SAND TRAP PLUGS WHILE THE SYSTEM IS UNDER PRESSURE MAY CAUSE PER-
