ESTABLISHING COMMUNICATIONS
Double clicking the desktop icon (
), or running the SurveyLog.exe program through Windows Explorer, will reveal the
following screen, which allows access to all major SurveyLog functions. Note that all features are accessed through a
selection of tabs at the top of the page – there is no menu bar.
The opening screen will appear as below:

Press the Menu button on the keypad
•
Scroll to the third option down – “Data Upload”
•
Press the Enter button twice to accept this.

The screen should change to the Data Upload mode screen
•
In SurveyLog, select the appropriate communications port from the drop down list, and the baud rate of the MIDAS
Surveyor main output.

Click the “Get File Table” button.
SurveyLog will now interrogate the MIDAS Surveyor, and obtain a list of all the data files stored in the instrument
memory. A new file will have been created each time logging has been turned ON (but not from Pause mode).
The program will automatically move to the next tab, “File Management” when the file table has been read.
