Emergency exit
function / Emergency
release
3.2.1 General
CAUTION
Only use the emergency release in
real emergencies.
The emergency exit function can be
initiated by turning the interior emer-
gency release handle clockwise (as
indicated by the arrow) or by pulling
the exterior emergency release
handle. Both these actions will re-
lease the cover from the opening
mechanism so that it can be raised
or swung away. If there is one and it
is connected the emergency re-
lease/lock indicator light (H2) on the
dashboard will be lit if the ignition is
switched on. Depending on the
application this signal may also be
indicated by a buzzer.
3.2.2 Operation

NOTE
The exterior handle can only be
used if the optional lock on the
exterior release handle has been
opened.

the emergency release/lock indi-
cator light (H2) on the dashboard
will be lit if the ignition is switched
on.

lease handle through 90° in a
clockwise direction or unlock
the exterior emergency handle
and pull it away from the cover.
2. Raise the cover off the opening
levers, swing it through 180°
forwards and place it on the roof
of the bus at the rear.
3. Insert the cover after it has the
