5. Check the screw connection of
the safety cable to the cover
and tighten it if necessary.
6. Place the cover on the handle
mechanism so that the handles
are positioned in the eye
supports.
CAUTION
The pins must be dry when insert-
ed. The use of lubricants may cause
premature wear and failures as a
result of the exposed position.
7. Push the pins as far as possible
into the eye supports (using a
screwdriver if necessary).
Moving the handle joints slightly
will make it easier to fit the pins.
CAUTION
•
You cannot tell by the position of
the emergency release handle
whether the pins have been
inserted correctly.
•
Check that the cover is properly
locked by an visual inspection.
8. Check that the pins are correctly
positioned in the eye supports
through the holes in the
insulation panel.
