Lock for the exterior
emergency release
handle
The exterior release handle for the
emergency exit can be locked as an
option to protect it from burglars.
If a lock is fitted, it is locked by an
arbitrary action of the driver but not
by the signals “Ignition off” or
“Voltage failure”.
The lock must be connected by the
customer. Further information will
be provided by the installer.
If the exterior handle is nevertheless
locked when the ignition is switched
on the emergency release/lock indi-
cator light (H2) on the dashboard
will be lit.
3.4
Using the rain sensor
If one is fitted the rain sensor can
close all the open ventilation
hatches in the parked vehicle if it
starts raining or open them again
when the rain stops. This assumes
that the ignition is switched on and
the “Rain sensor on” switch is
switched on.
If rain water wets the surface of the
sensor all the connected ventilation
hatches are closed. When the rain
sensor dries the connected venti-
lation hatches are opened again.
To distinguish dew and spray water
from rain, the sensor surface is
heated.
