1.4.1.2 Bus Top C
Emergency operation is released
with a red outside or inside
emergency handle. Two pins are
withdrawn from the two pivot bear-
ings. This frees the cover from the
frame on the side of the emergency
handle. Now the cover may be
swung open by means of two other
pivot bearings (front hinges) to be
deposited on the bus roof. In this
position the hatch is completely
disengaged from the hinges and
only connected to the Bus Top
frame via the securing cable
150 mm in length.
1.4.2 Trap Protection
(only Bus Top Solar,
electrical
and Bus Top C)
Should foreign matter be located
in the hatch closing edge area or
somebody try and reach through
the hatch while its closing and
preventing a closure, a reverse
travel function will be initiated after
5 seconds. The cover assembly will
return to its travel starting position.
NOTE
It is possible to unlock the emer-
gency operating mechanism at any
time to free the trap.
1.4.3 Antiburglar Protection
(not for emergency
exit hatch
and Bus Top C)
When parking the vehicle the
outside emergency handle may be
locked manually or electrically
(automatic).
•
manually by operating the
locking slide with a screwdriver
•
electrically by means of an
ignition or door contact switch in
combination with an actuator
(M6) mounted in the frame.
NOTE
In case of an electrical circuit failure
proceed with manual operation like
for the manual variant.
