Quick-Start Setup
SOFTWARE INSTALLATION:
1.
Start your PC browser software.
2.
Go to http://www.pdyno.com/downloads.html
3.
Select and download the latest g -analyst software.
4.
Open the downloaded file to start Palm Quick Install.
5.
HotSync your handheld.
g-Analyst
ACCELEROMETER INSTALLATION:
1.
For first time use, install a fresh battery in the g -Analyst.
2.
Install g-analyst, with Velcro, on a relatively flat and level surface of the vehicle’s interior - such as the
dash, floor, center console, etc.
3.
For optimal accuracy, install pointing straight ahead as much as possible (note - power switch should point
towards back of vehicle).
GET CONNECTED AND GET STARTED:
1.
Turn on power to the g -Analyst. A red LED should flash on and off at a frequency of 1/second.
2.
Turn on power to your handheld and select the g -Analyst icon.
3.
The PalmOS Bluetooth connection wizard will launch - select
nearby devices
, then g-Analyst. Once
connected, the g -Analyst should indicate a solid green LED and a flickering red LED.
4.
If this is your first time using the g -analyst, you will need to select
CALIBRATE
from the main menu and
then enter in the calibration information which was provided for your g-analyst. This will only need to be
done once.
5.
Select
VEHICLE INFO
to enter vehic le and weight information. The weight is used for the horsepower
calculation. The vehicle information entered is saved as test notes with your data for future reference.
Continue to modify vehicle information with each testing sequence as necessary.
6.
Select SETTINGS (via the MENU options on the Palm STATUS bar) to define the start / stop parameters
for your testing sequence (see page 2 for options).
7.
Select desired testing sequence to perform (SPEED, DISTANCE, BRAKING, or gLINK).
8.
Review DATA (via the MENU options on the Palm STATUS bar) from saved data files as desired.
