Entering Your Vehicle Information
1.
From the 'Home' menu (See Figure 2), tap 'Vehicle Info.'
2.
Enter the text that you would like saved with each vehicle
test. See Figure 4.
3.
Enter the vehicle weight.
4.
Tap 'OK.'
Note: You can keep track of your testing and tuning changes by
updating this screen between tests. For example, for the first test,
your text could read: "Base line testing. East-bound." For the
next test, your text could read: "Base line testing. West-bound."
Note: An accurate weight is essential to obtain good results from
the estimated ¼ Mile calculations and the horsepower
calculations. Have your vehicle weighed at a public scale if
possible. If not, your vehicle weight can be estimated by using
the certification weight of your vehicle (see Figure 5). This
weight number is usually found in the door jam of either the
driver’s or passenger’s door. Take the certification weight and
subtract (180 lbs. * rated number of passengers), then add in your weight and the weight of any
cargo. This should give a reasonable approximation of your test weight.
