12.1.4 Operating modes

The control system has two different operating modes:

•

Automatic mode (= standard operating mode)

•

Manual mode

When in automatic mode, then the higher ranking PLC controls the actions of the DCS control system. All sen

-

sors are active in this operating mode and will be queried.

The manual mode is used for repair, maintenance, service and for moving the control system in a case of a
fault.

WARNING!

Danger of injuries due to inactive limit switches
Accidents, severe injuries as well as property damages.

Depending  on  the  configuration  of  the  DCS  control  system  in  manual  mode,
please ensure that no limit switches are active. Please ensure that the manual
mode is only activated by authorized skilled employees.

The VAHLE IR remote control MC8/10M (ident.-No.: 0777006/00) is required for manual mode.
Additional information about the IR remote control can be found in section: “IR remote control MC8/10M“
