Troubleshooting

Sensor faults:
- Check sensor function, see ”6.3 Notes on troubles-
hooting” on page 97.
- Check that the toothed plate in the housing is undama-
ged.
- Check that the inductive sensor is sufficiently close to
the plate, adjust if necessary.
- Check the sensor connections to the cable harness in
the connection unit of the seed feed housing as fol-
lows:
Area meter/speedometer shows
no or incorrect reading!
- Is the sensor receiving a signal from the sensor on the
drive wheel axle under the chainguard? Remove the
guard, see ”6.3 Notes on troubleshooting” on page
97.
- Check the connection between sensor and cable har-
ness.
- Check that the correct value for drive wheel circumfe-
rence has been entered in the Control Box (normally
2.4), see ”3.16.3 Programming the Type III Control
Box” on page 54.
- For too low area/speed readings increase this value.
- For too high area/speed readings decrease this value.
One or more tramlining flaps
fails to open/close!
- Both tramlining motor should be ON and should close
off the relevant outlets in the distributor head when
the tramlining lights are on, see ”3.16.2 Functions of
the Control Box” on page 52, point 5. +12 V on pole
13, this is in parallel with pole 26.
- The motor should be OFF to re-open the outlets in the
distributor head when the tramlining lights are off, by
+12 V on pole 12. This is in parallel with pole 25. See
”7.4.2 Pole numbering, Control Box connector” on
page 110, Control Box sockets.
If there is no current to the elec-
tric motors or if they have not
enough power to open/close:
- See ”6.1.1 Electrical faults” on page 90.
- Check the 37-pole connector, check poles 12, 13, 25
and, 26.
- Check the connection between motor and cable har-
ness just above the seed hopper.
