9 Calibration of electric adjustment of the sown amount (option)
The control box is normally calibrated against the electric setting device. Calibration should be
performed when the equipment is post-fitted or if the control box or the setting device is repla-
ced.
Calibrate as follows:

Connect the control box to the drill.

Depending on the type of remote control used, connect the remote control connector to the con-
trol box or to the triangular connector on the machine cabling. Place the remote control close
to the seed box on the machine allowing a full view of the setting device and the scale.

Set the handle to the calibration position as shown in “Figure 3.55”.

Keep button (1) at the very left of the control box depressed while simultaneously swit-
ching on the control box. Keep the button depressed for approximately 10 seconds. This will
access the Cal2 calibration programme.

Press button (14) on the control box.

Run the setting device against the scale value 0 on the seed box using the minus button on the
remote control.
NOTE!
Immediately release the button at the end position (i.e., when the motor stops tur-
ning).

Set the setting device to the scale value of 140 on the seed box using the plus button on the
remote control.
NOTE!
Immediately release the button at the end position (i.e., when the motor stops tur-
ning).

Return to the scale value of 1.

Enter the start value 1 using the + and - keys, move to the digit to be changed using the SET
key and complete by pressing ENTER.
J
Set the setting device to the scale value of 135 using the remote control.
K
Enter the value 135 on the control box using the + and - buttons, move to the digit to be changed
using the SET button and complete by pressing ENTER. "Call done" is displayed on the right
of the display. Calibration is now complete.
L
Switch off the control box.
M
Switch on the control box. All current values are then stored and the electric setting device is
ready for use.
