Versacount II+ User’s Guide

Setup

3. Check for Proper Fusing and Voltage

.

The AC receptacle on the rear panel of the Versacount II+ also contains
the counter’s fuse holder. The fuse holder pops out below the AC plug.

Two 2 amp SLO BLO 5mmx20mm fuses should be installed. Once the
fuses are placed into the holder, the holder snaps back into the input
module. The counter is equipped to automatically detect the voltage
applied, accepting either 115VAC or 230VAC

4. Attach the AC Power Cord

Plug the power cord into a power outlet and then into the AC receptacle on the rear panel of the
Versacount II+.

5. Install the Correct Counting Kit

SMD Counting Head

The SMD counting kit is provided with a standard Versacount II+

.  It is

 used to count components

taped in SMD carrier tape.

To install the SMD counting kit, follow these steps:

1. Ensure that power is disconnected from the counter.

2. Place the SMD counting head over the guide pins, being careful to allow the sprocket wheel

to slide straight into the slot on the base, and lower it into place.  Some slight pressure may

need to be applied straight down to fully seat the head.

3. Install the SMD tape adjuster guide.

4. Snap the SMD spindles in place on the motor shafts.

Axial/Radial Counting Head (Optional)

The axial/radial counting head is an option that can be purchased with the Versacount II+.  It is
used to count leaded components taped in carrier tape.  To install the axial/radial kit, please dis-
connect power from the machine and follow the steps below.

1. Ensure that power is disconnected from the counter.

2. Place the axial/radial counting head over the guide pins and lower it into place.  Some slight

pressure may need to be applied straight down to fully seat the head.

3. Install the axial/radial tape adjuster guide.

4. Snap the axial/radial spindles in place on the motor shafts.
