3.7.1.1
General
Select the first item in the side menu to access the general settings of the system as shown in the figure.
This can be used to edit the system date and time, the date/time format, the video format, the automatic logout and the
DVR operating mode. Two modes are available for this option:
•
DVR:
in this mode, the system will use only the analogue channels (the cameras connected on coax cable) and
can operate with traditional analogue cameras, of AHD type, i.e. capable of transmitting on coax cables video
signals in HD (1080N or 720P).
•
XVR:
in this mode, the system will work in hybrid mode, making it possible to record on digital cameras on the IP
network (NVR).
The selected mode determines the maximum possible frame rate, which is:
DVR 4 and 8 analogue channels:
•
25FPS in DVR Mode
•
15FPS in XVR Mode for 1080N/720P resolutions
DVR 16 analogue channels:
•
25FPS in DVR Mode
•
10FPS in XVR Mode for 1080N/720P resolutions
NOTE: the bandwidth available for video and audio stream recordings (the latter, if available), depends on the
camera resolution, the frames per second (FPS) and obviously the number of selected cameras. When
the system operates in XVR and IP cameras are also used, this is reduced even further. Therefore, it is
advisable to check that the bandwidth is sufficient not record the required number of cameras.
