Adding a user-defined camera
Press this button to access the page for manually selecting and configuring the IP cameras present in the local area
network (LAN); the DVR will run an automatic search and show the list of cameras in the list on the upper part of the page
(the search can be run manually at any time by pressing the Search button).
To add the required cameras, simply select them from the list and press the “Add Selected” button; the cameras will
appear in the list in the bottom right of the screen at the end of the operation.
RTSP function
The RTSP (acronym of Real Time Streaming Protocol) is used to view the video Main Streams/Sub Streams of an IP
camera connected to the DVR on a web page of the PC or on the local monitor, through the RTSP port. This is
advantageous for managing the live stream of an IP ONVIF camera connected to the DVR.
To confirm video streams using the RTSP protocol, click on [Protocol Manage]. The following page will appear:
The following parameters can be set:
Custom Protocol: Define the name of the RTSP protocol to be associated to the IP camera.
The following fields can be defined for each Main Stream/Sub Stream:
Port: the default RTSP port is 544, but this can be changed by the user typing a different numeric value.
Resource path: Copy the resource path used for the VLC software (VideoLAN Client, the multimedia player used
to view the camera video stream), installed in the PC for the IP camera to be added. Afterwards, it will also be
possible to view the live stream on local DVR through the configured RTSP port.
Confirm to quit at this point. Now, the IP camera detected using the protocol which exploits the RTSP port can be added to
the live grid of the DVR.
