it can comprise of any values with only two limitations:
1) The first digit must be less than 8 (best practice is to set it
to 0). If the first character will be 8…F the Machine cannot go
online.
2) Within the LAN to which the Machine is connected, the given
MAC address must be unique.
Violation of this requirement can cause the LAN to malfunction

This displays the internal iP, assigned by the network admin-
istrator.
Within the LAN this address must be unique. The leading part
of the address (which is determined by the subnet-mask, see
below) must be the same as the leading part of addresses of
all connected devices.
