END OF SEASON MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION
- Unplug the appliance or switch off the dedicated switch before performingany
operations.(risk of personal injury from electrocution).
- Do not touch the air conditioning unit with wet hands. (risk of personal injury from
electrocution).
- When cleaning the appliance, do not climb onto a table or unstable chair. (risk of per-
sonal injury from falling from a height)
- When removing filters, take care not to touch any metal parts, especially theheat
exchanger inside the internal unit (risk of personal injury from cuts)
CLEANING THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT
Clean the Internal Unit and remote control, if necessary, using a cloth mois-tened with
lukewarm water (no hotter than 40°C) and mild soap; do not usesolvents or aggres-
sive detergents, insecticides or spray cleaners (thesecould damage and corrode the
appliance’s plastic parts).
To open the front panel of the internal unit (unhook the panel and unscrewthe screw).
If the battery in the External Unit is clogged: remove all leaves and depositsand then
wash off all dust with a water jet or some water.
1. Clean the filters and secure them back in place.
2. On a sunny day, operate the air conditioning unit in ventilation mode for afew hours,
so that the inside is dried completely.
3. Unplug the appliance or disable the automatic switch.
IF THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT DOES NOT WORK
1. If the air conditioning unit gives no sign of life, check the supply voltage:
- is the appliance plug fully in the socket?
- has the automatic switch blown?
- has there been a power failure?
2. If the cooling (or heating) effect seems to be lower than normal:
- has the temperature been set correctly on the remote control?
- has a door or window been opened?
- is the Internal Unit exposed to direct sunlight?
- are the filters clogged?
- are there any obstacles obstructing the free circulation of air to the Internal Unit or
External Unit?
