Adjusting Tone and Gradation - Expert Mode
The purpose of the tone curves is to define what is neutral by removing unwanted casts. The
purpose of the gradation curve is to specify tone compression and contrast. Therefore, color cor-
rection should be performed only in the Selective Color window, where neutrals and hues are
treated separately. To adjust neutral tones, use Tone & Cast; to correct hues, use Selective Color.
