Manually Adjusting the Region Control Bars
In addition to being able to enter numerical values to adjust the region control
bars, the bars can be manipulated directly as follows:
•
To adjust sharpening in a tonal region: Click and drag the desired bar up or
down.
•
To adjust sharpening in all tonal regions: Hold down the Option key and
click and drag any bar to the desired point. The region control bars move
together.
•
To adjust smoothing in a tonal region: Hold down the Shift key and drag
the desired bar up or down.
•
To adjust smoothing in all tonal regions: Hold down the Shift keys
and drag any bar up or down. The smoothing bars move together.
•
To adjust the threshold of a tonal region: Hold down the Control key and
drag the desired bar up or down.
•
To adjust the threshold of all tonal regions: Hold down the C
Option keys and drag any bar up or down. The bars move together, main-
taining their relative sharpening and smoothing positions.
Controlling Edges between Tonal Regions
PowerColor’s unsharp masking also allows you to choose monocolored edges or
colored edges between tonal regions. Mono edges are made up of a single color,
mixed in the ratio you define in the R, G, and B fields. Color edges are a compos-
ite of the surrounding colors.
