Checking Tool Bar Parameters
Check the following parameters in the Tool Bar (see Figure 7–3) to make sure
they match your final scan specifications:
Scan Type
The Scan Type of your image should correspond to the type of original:
Transmissive or Reflective.
Scan Mode
The Scan Mode field is used to select the output mode for the scanned image.
The options are:
•
RGB: standard Red, Green, and Blue.
Note:
If you scan in CMYK color space with
Photo RGB selected in Preferences as the sepa-
rator, the final image will not represent accurate
color. To scan in the CMYK color space, you
must choose Press as the designated separator.
•
CMYK: four process colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black).
Note:
If PowerColor Press is selected in the
Preferences menu, choosing CMYK mode will
immediately activate the separator, giving you
access to the CMYK toolset and causing your
image to be displayed in CMYK color space.
