Chapter 7: Scanning Images to Disk

O
nce you have completed color correction work on your images (see Chapters
4 through 6), they are ready to be scanned to disk. This chapter explains how
to check final settings and scan your corrected images to a file and covers the fol-
lowing topics:

Reviewing scan settings
•
Performing final scans
Reviewing Scan Settings
Before final scanning, review your scanning parameters to make sure you have
made all necessary adjustments.
Note:
To review the parameters for each region
individually, make sure each desired region is
selected in the Queue Manager, as indicated by
the red frame around it.
PowerColor provides an overview of all scanning parameters for a given region in
the Scan Info window (select Info in the Tool menu or press
+I if on a
Macintosh). Figure 7–1 shows an example of a Scan Info window:
The Scan Info window is a static display of the scanning parameters. To make any
changes before final scanning, select the desired parameter options in the menu
bar and toolbar.
