Do not place items to be cleaned directly on the tank bottom. The bottom is
essentially a high frequency speaker so contact may hinder the acoustic
propagation. Use UPC approved baskets or fixtures that are designed to minimize
acoustical losses and or damage to the tank bottom and the transducers. Heavy
items should always be suspended or placed on a work rest. In cases when a work
rest is required, consult UPC regarding a proper design for your application.
Do not attempt to clean aluminum in a caustic solution.
Do not use any chemical that is combustible. Chemicals not approved by UPC may
void warranty. Consult with UPC if unsure.
Do not use bleach or ammonia as a cleaning chemical.
2.4. At the End of Each Day
1. Turn filter system to the
"ON"
position. Allow the filter system to clean the water-
detergent solution. (Note: Operating the filter system during the cleaning cycle
may interfere with the ultrasonic cleaning process. If filtration is required during
the cleaning process, use the lowest flow rate possible for maximum
performance.) Make sure that the external valve is opened to allow for proper
flow.
2. Turn filter system to the
"OFF"
position (if applicable).
3. Turn the heater switch to the
"OFF"
position.
4. Turn the main power switch to the
"OFF"
position.
5. Wipe off the machine to remove excess dirt and water.
