SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Read these instructions carefully. Safeguard
them for future reference.
• Only connect it to the voltage indicated on the
characteristics plate.
• This appliance is suitable for use with foods.
• This appliance is designed for processing
normal household quantities in the home or
similar quantities in non-industrial applications.
Non-industrial applications include e.g. use in
employee kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural
and other commercial businesses, as well as use
by guests in boarding houses, small hotels and
similar dwellings.
• Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
• Avoid contact with the moving parts.
• Do not touch the blade while it is operating
as it is very sharp. After the appliance has been
switched off the blade will continue to rotate a
moment longer.
• When using the mincing accessory:
- The edge of the blade is very sharp. Handle
with care to avoid any cuts. Always use the plastic
handle.
- Always place the container on a clean, level
surface.
- Grip the blender firmly during use.
• Never insert metal utensils, such as knives
or forks, into the inside of the cowl while the
appliance is operating.
• Do not operate the appliance without a
workload.
• Do not use the appliance with hot oil, as there is
a risk of burns due to splashing.
• Do not place the appliance near sources of heat
and prevent the cable from brushing against hot
surfaces.
• Do not operate the appliance with the cable still
coiled.
• Do not leave the appliance operating
unattended, especially with children about.
• This appliance must not be used by persons
(including children) with physical, sensory or
mental impairments unless they have been
instructed in its correct use by a responsible
adult.
• Children must be supervised to ensure that they
do not play with the appliance.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains when it is
not in use.
• Do not unplug it by tugging on the cable nor
leave the plug hanging freely.
• Make sure that the appliance has been
unplugged before cleaning it.
• DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE IN WATER
OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
• Do not switch the appliance on if the cable or
the plug are damaged or if it can be detected that
the appliance is not working correctly.
• Cable repairs and replacements must be carried
out exclusively by an Authorised Technical Service
Centre.
OPERATION
The blender is suitable for preparing mayonnaises,
purées, compotes, shakes, jams, baby foods or to
mince small quantities of walnuts or almonds. It
must not be used to prepare mashed potato.
To attach the foot, insert the top part of the foot
into the hole on the bottom of the motor housing
until you hear a “click”. To remove it, press the
lower buttons inwards and the foot will come
away automatically.
Plug it in to mains. Press the switch to begin work.
In order to avoid splashes insert the foot into the
ingredients before switching the blender on.
Move the mixing foot about in the mixture to get
an even blend.
Whisk with gear attachment
Model BP4543
For whipping cream, beating egg whites and milk
shakes (cold milk, max. 8 C).
Caution!
Never insert the whisk into the base unit without
the gear attachment.
- place the gear attachment on the base unit and
lock into position.
- insert the whisk into the gear attachment and
lock into position.
- insert the mains plug.
- put ingredients into the mixing jug.
- take hold of the base unit and mixing jug and
press the switch.
MINCING ACCESSORY
Models BP4544 - BP4542
The accessories can also be acquired individually
at any Official Technical Service Centre for the
brand.
• Place the container on a clean, level surface.
• Fit the blade in.
• Put the food in.
• Place the top part onto the container and turn it
in a clockwise direction until it locks into position
(Safety lock).
• Place the motor block onto the lid.
• Hold the container with one hand while
operating the switch with the other.
• Press the lower buttons to dismantle it.
Notes:
• Before mincing meat remove any bones or
gristle.
• Wash the container and the top part after having
minced onions or garlic.
• It is not designed for crushing ice cubes nor
hard foodstuffs such as coffee beans or radishes.
• The times indicated are approximate and may
vary depending on the amounts used or the
degree of blending which is required.
