At The White Ant Co we take pride in our work place, ensuring that both its condition and the
actions within it maintain the safety and well being of all who enter our environment. Every person
within our work place has a responsibility to ensure not only the health and safety of themselves,
but others within the workplace through awareness of their own responsibilities towards health and
safety, the impact their actions have on others, and the state of the environment in which we
operate.
Obligations
As an employer, we are committed to ensuring that you are not exposed to any type of risk to your
health and safety at work or during the performance of your work, and that no other individual
entering the workplace is affected by our business conduct.
Similarly, for contractors within our company, you have the obligation to ensure your own and
others
’ safety during the conduct of your work.
These obligations include:
1. properly identifying hazards, assessing the associated risks, implementing control measures
or ways to minimise risk, and monitoring/reviewing effectiveness
2. providing and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment
3. providing and maintaining safe equipment (plant)
4. maintaining records of work related injuries or illness suffered by employees
5. providing medical, health, and first aid services as compliance to regulations
6. investigating all work related illnesses and injuries
7. ensuring safe use, handling, transport, and storage of hazardous substances
8. ensuring safe systems of work
9. providing information, supervision, and training to ensure health and safety
