19. Free Diving (FREE) Mode
The computer features a Free Diving Mode for use during skin
diving and free diving. Because nitrogen gas fluctuation is not
calculated as during normal diving mode, the bar graph of
the amount of nitrogen gas in the tissues (N
2
indicator) is not
displayed. Also, displays such as no-decompression dive time
and various warnings, such as ascent rate warning, are not
shown. During free diving, elapsed time, current water depth and
maximum water depth are only displayed
In addition, up to 7,000 free diving logs can be recorded (* if only
free diving is used).
Switch To Free Diving Mode
By pressing
t
while pressing
M
twice in Time Mode or Surface
Mode, you can switch to Free Diving Mode manually via Dive
Mode. However, if a desaturation time remains after scuba diving,
or the unit is in 48 hours locked state, or if the charged amount of
the battery is insufficient, it is not possible to switch to Free Diving
Mode.
If you use the computer for free diving or skin diving, switch to
Free Diving Mode manually.

Note that when diving at a depth of 1 m or more, even if you press
M, the dive computer will remain in Free Diving Mode and will not
enter Surface Mode. However, after 99 minutes the dive computer
will enter Surface Mode.
