DIAGNOSING AN ISSUE
NO
Troubleshooting:
F6: EC TEMP (Electrical Compartment Temperature High)
YES
NO
Does the oven have
room to ventilate?
(not tightly enclosed
by other appliances
or fixtures?)
Is the oven in an area of moderate
temperature (120ºF (49ºC) or cooler)?
YES
Are both cooling
fans rotating?
NO
Relocate oven to
cooler area.
YES
Check for
obstructions in
the airflow and
remove them.
YES
Replace defective
component – either the cooling
fan thermostat (page 39),
control board (page 39),
or fan (page 40).
Troubleshooting:
F7: THERMO (Thermocouple Open)
YES
NO
Is the thermocouple properly
connected to the control board?
(See page 49 for schematic.)
NO
Correct wiring.
YES
NO
Correct connection.
Is the wire harness properly
connected? Check the cooling fan
thermostat, control board, and
cooling fans. (See page 49
for schematic.)
Move oven to open area
or remove items that are
in close proximity.
Is the CC thermocouple
defective?
Using an ohmmeter, mea-
sure at the 40-pin connec-
tor. The CC thermocouple
should not measure an
open reading (check for
open circuit).
The catalyst may have “flashed” due to excessive
grease buildup in the cavity. Clean the oven (pages
10-11) and test operation.
Replace the defective thermocouple.
