XIII. Audible Tone

The purpose of the audible tone (beep) option is to

allow the user to turn the audible tone on or off.

Turn the audible tone on or off by using these steps:

1. With the radio powered on, press the MODE button

four times or until the BEEP indicator will begin

to flash to advance to the audible tone selection.

2. Press the UP (

) / DOWN (

) buttons to alternate

between on and off.

Audible Tone On

Audible Tone Off

3. To continue with other programming functions,

press the MODE button to advance through

the programming mode or press P-T-T or the

WX / SCAN button to save the selected audible

tone setting and return to receive mode.
