XII. Scan Functions
The MURS-25 has three available scan functions:
talk-back, vacant channel and weather alert.
Activate the desired scan function by using these steps:
1. With the radio powered on, press the MODE
button three times or until the SCAN indicator
begins to flash to confirm the scan selection
mode is active.

) or DOWN (

) buttons to advance
to the various scan functions, shown as SCAN,
SCAN VC or SCAN WX.
3. To activate the selected scan, press the WX / SCAN
button. To stop scan mode, press the P-T-T,
MODE or WX / SCAN buttons.
Talk Back Scan
This scan function allows you to scan for transmit
activity on the current channel settings for all channels.
If transmit activity is detected on the channel / tone
code settings for your radio;
a) The radio will stop scanning and lock onto
the detected channel.
