USE WITH A MACINTOSH
This camera can be used with an Apple Macintosh computer.
20 Use with a Macintosh
This chapter gives a short explanation of how to connect the camera to a Macintosh
computer. Mac software is not supplied with the camera.
You will only be able to use the camera as a ‘Mass Storage Device’. The webcam
function is not supported on a Macintosh computer.
You can use Apple QuickTime to play video clips (
). Your default
photograph viewer can be used to view the photographs.
20.1 Connecting
1.
Set the camera to the ‘Playback’ mode.
Turn the camera on.
2.
Connect one end of the USB cable to the camera.
3.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the Macintosh computer.
The LCD screen will turn off and the green indicator will be lit.
4.
An icon labelled ‘UNLABELLED’ will be displayed on the desktop.
5.
Double-click on the ‘Unlabelled’ icon, double-click on the ‘DCIM’ folder and
double-click on the ‘300CX100’ folder.
There may be more folders (101CX300, 102CX300, ...) on the camera.
Recordings are also saved in these folders.
6.
Double-click on a file to open it.
