always gives greater accuracy.
Note:
It is recommended to use the stand and the automatic exposure
function (see chapter 11.3) when using the macro mode.

11.3 Automatic
exposure
The camera has an automatic exposure function which gives a time delay of 10
seconds before the photograph is taken. You can use the automatic exposure
function to take a photograph of yourself.
The default setting when the camera is turned on is ‘Off’. The automatic exposure
function can be turned on as follows.
1.
Set the camera to the ‘Capture’ mode (
).
2.
Press the control button to the right to select the automatic exposure function.
The symbol for the automatic exposure function will appear in the middle of
the LCD screen.
Press the exposure button (2, figure 3) to take a photograph using the automatic
exposure function.
Whilst counting down (10 seconds):
- The count-down will be visible in the LCD screen.
- The automatic exposure indicator (3, figure 1) will start to flash.
Note:
It is recommended to use the stand when taking a photograph using
the automatic exposure function.
11.4 Continuous
shot
This camera allows you to take three pictures one after the other.
Note:
You can only use this function in the 3.1 Megapixel resolution (3.0
displayed on the LCD screen).
1.
Press the control button to the right twice to select this function.
2.
Press the exposure button to take the photographs.

Setting the flash
The camera has various flash options.
Selecting the flash:
1.
Set the camera to the ‘Capture’ mode.
2.
Press the control button to the left. Repeat this until the correct setting has
been reached (see table 10).
Flash off.
Automatic flash.
The flash will work automatically when there is insufficient light.
Flash on.
The flash will work every time, regardless of the lighting conditions.

Note:
The flash will flash twice in the ‘Automatic’ and ‘Flash on’ options. This
will suppress the red-eye effect.
Note:
The batteries become empty quickly when the flash is used a lot.
