Mobile Mount Charging

Placing the Seeker D into the Mobile Mount will begin Mobile Mount charging. The following 

conditions apply when charging the Seeker D via the Mobile Mount:

•  The Mobile Mount DC power cable must be connected to the Mobile Mount and the 

vehicle power supply before Mobile Mount charging can begin.

•  When the Seeker D is off and it is placed in the mobile mount, the device will go into 

a background charging and nothing will be shown on the display screen.

•  When the Seeker D is on and it is placed in the mobile mount, the measurement will 

not be disabled while the Seeker D is mobile mount charging.

With the Optional Seeker MCA III

When the Seeker D is used with the optional Seeker MCA III, the following charging 

actions will occur.

•  When the Seeker D is on and is charging, the display will remain on the 

Measurement mode screen. 

•  If the Seeker D is turned off and is placed in the Mobile Mount, the Seeker D will 

automatically turn on when the vehicle is turned on.

•  If the Seeker D is turned on and is placed in the Mobile Mount, the Seeker D will 

automatically turn off when the vehicle power has been turned off and the Park 

Delay timer of the Seeker MCA III has expired.

The batteries in the Seeker D will not charge in the Mobile 

Mount unless the Seeker D has been turned off. However, 

when the Seeker D is on and is in the Mobile Mount the 

batteries will not discharge either.
