9.8 Calibration
Calibration screen is used for calculation and adjustment of scanner and encoder
parameters required for accurate marking and length measurement. Machine is calibrated at the
factory.
Warning !!!
Do not change any settings on the calibration screen unless
instructed by authorized factory representative.

•
Calibration Length
is
a distance that machine pulls the wire during encoder calibration.
•
Calibration
button pulls the wire for the specified length.
•
Angle
compensates mechanical misalignment between the X axis of the scanner and wire
center line.
•
Encoder Pulses
is quadruple number of encoder pulses corresponding to the calibration
length.
•
EncoderBPI
is quadruple number of encoder pulses per inch.
•
Scale Factors
are automatically calculated during the calibration procedure. These
parameters synchronize the scanner with the movement of the wire and are used to
produce an accurate marking.
•
Scale Factor Overrides
are used for manual
data entry. The entered values replace
automatically calculated Scale Factors when
Override
check box is selected.
•
Scanner Bits
is a length of marking in bits used for the calculation of the scanner
resolution.
