Direct the beam into the beam dump in the following order:
1.
Switch/log in to the computer and open laser tablet marker. Main screen should be
displayed.
2.
Select
Set Up
tab and open Energy Offset window.
3.
Locate the center opening through the wire channel. Place a piece of white paper on the
channel covering half of the opening.
4.
Locate the beam dump and place a piece of white paper on the tube covering half of the
opening.
5.
Close the doors.
6.
Turn the laser on.
7.
Observe low power beam coming down from the objective.
8.
Adjust the beam position using the arrows on the offset screen so that it would path
through the middle of the channel opening.
9.
Confirm that the beam enters the dump tube
10.
Click save and close the program.
11.
Remove beam visualization papers.
12.
Switch to the Laser Parameters window.
13.
Click Start Power Test button. The system will measure and display the average laser
power.
14.
Click Stop Power Test button to cancel the measurement.
15.
Repeat the measurement for different E-pulse settings to make sure that the sensor is
working properly.
