9.3 Parameters
Fig.9.9. Parameters.
Stepping motors movement is controlled by PLC supplying pulses of appropriate frequency to the
stepping motor drivers. The motor parameters are factory optimized and can be adjusted depending
on specific type of wire and pulling mechanism. Generally, bigger numbers correspond to higher
production speed.
Pull Speed
is the frequency of the motors used when pulling the wire in the manual mode.
Displacemen
t is a number of motor steps (pulses) required to pull 1 inch of wire. The number can be
adjusted if cut length of the wires is different from the specified values. Increasing the number will
reduce the total wire length and vice versa.
Waste Wire
is the space between start-mark position and the cutting blades.
Wobble Delay
is a
time interval between stop-the-wire and start-the-marking signals. Increasing the delay allows more
time to settle down the wire vibrations in the marking zone.
Cut Time
is the amount of time when
cutting blades are engaged. A thicker wire may require longer cutting time
Feed Delay
is the amount of time after the cut is complete before the motors begin pulling again.
Screen Resolution
depends on the computer display resolution and is used for wire presentation in
the Main Window.
