Caustic fuels!
When filling up, fuel may get onto clothing or skin.
Fuel on the skin can cause minor injuries.
Always wear personal safety gear.
Clothing that has become wet with fuel should be changed immediately.
Material damage!
The starter and battery may be damaged by too many consecutive attempts to start the engine.
Allow a break of 1 to 2 minutes between start attempts.
Never try to start the engine again before it has come to a standstill.
Jerky movements when starting!
Jerky movements when accelerating at start can cause damage to the nose wheel and break the
"shear pin" at the towbar.
Start driving the CHALLENGER550 with slow and continuous movement to prevent damage
to the nose wheel and to prevent the "shear pin" of the towbar from breaking.
Select the correct driving gear.
Driving behavior not adapted!
Driving behavior that is not adapted to the respective situation can cause damage to the CHAL-
LENGER550 and the nose landing gear of the aircraft.
When driving with an aircraft attached, adapt the driving speed to the respective conditions.
Drive in such a way that the CHALLENGER550 with attached aircraft can be safely braked at
any time.
Reduce the speed before reaching a curve.
Make sure to keep an adequate safety distance when driving around obstacles.
Make sure that the driving surface is clean and has sufficient traction.
In case of snow or ice, drive particularly carefully.
Only use towbars that have been approved for the aircraft.
Always keep radio contact with the aircraft's pilot.
