Check the safety switch strip weekly for damage and proper functioning!

Safety switch
strip
The safety switch strip prevents damage to the hull of the aircraft by
the raised driver's cab. As soon as the safety switch strip touches
the hull of the aircraft, the raising of the cab is immediately halted.
The following message is displayed:"DANGER OF COLLISION".
The cab has to be lowered.

Guard railing
The guard railing is folded upright for control and maintenance work
and protects the service personnel against falling from the CHAL-
LENGER550. The guard railing must be folded upright by the ser-
vice personnel before work begins. After work ends, the railing has
to be folded flat again.
