Drive path
During lifting processes the drive path must be limited by one or multiple limit switches, so that the upward and/or downward
movement is stopped. The system manufacturer must determine the design and the fitting position of the limit switches when taking
their risk assessment into account.
The system manufacturer must install an ultimate lifting limit switch and, optionally, a lifting limit switch and a lowering limit switch and
connect them to the control unit. The limit switches must have direct opening action.
The gap between the limit switch and the wire rope anchoring or the protruding components must be chosen so that the machine can
be switched off reliably and in good time. We recommend to use a minimum gap (see Illustration 6, size a) of 0.5 to 1.5 m.

When defining the wire rope length, the rope end connections shall be considered.
Operating equipment
The on-site control unit must be dimensioned and connected according to the applicable guidelines and standards.
3.3.5 Nameplate and warning signs / application restrictions
Replace missing or illegible nameplates and warning signs before use immediately.
