IP Handset menus
To edit a Wireless network profile
To edit a Wireless network profile, do as
follows:
1. From the main menu, select
Network >
Wireless network
.
2. Select the access point you want to
change profile for.
3. Press the left select key,
Options
.
Note that if no profile is defined for the
selected access point, this menu will only
show Connect and Manage.
4. Select
Edit/View profile
.
The SSID (name of the Wireless network) and security mode of the selected
access point are automatically detected by the handset.
For security mode WEP set the following (see also the documentation for
Wireless Access Point):
•
Authentication: Select Open system or Shared key
•
Encryption level: Select 64-bit or 128-bit
•
WEP key index: Select 1, 2, 3 or 4.
•
Use hexadecimal key: Select whether you want to enter the encryption
key in hexadecimal numbers or text.
•
WEP key: Enter WLAN encryption key.
For security mode WPA-PSK-TKIP or WPA2-PSK-AES set the following (see
documentation for Wireless Access Point):
•
Use hexadecimal key: Select whether you want to enter the encryption
key in hexadecimal numbers or text.
•
Encryption key: Enter WLAN encryption key.
5. Select one of the following:
•
Connect
(left key) if you want to connect immediately to the access
point, or
•
Back
(right key) if you want to save the profile for later.
