Subtest 03
Point to point (Send)
NOTE
: To execute this subtest, two machines must be connected with an RS-232C
direct cable. One machine should be set as “send”(subtest 03) and the other as
'receive’ (subtest 04). The wiring diagram for the RS-232C direct cable is shown
in Appendix G.
This subtest sends 20h through 7Eh data to the receive side, then receives the
sent data and compares it to the original data.
Subtest 04
Point to point (Receive)
This subtest is used with subtest 03. This subtest receives data from the send
side, then sends the received data.
Subtest 05
Card Modem Loopback (2400BPS)
NOTES
:
(1)
To execute this subtest, a 2400 bps type card modem must be
installed.
(2)
It is not necessary to turn on the modem at the Setup option.
When this subtest is selected, the modem is powered on
automatically.
(3)
Set the PCMCIA Slot to Others in the Setup program to
execute
.
This subtest sends data from the RS-232C port to the built-in modem. The
same data is then sent back to the RS-232C port and compared to original
data.
When the serial port channel number is selected and

is pressed, the
following message appears:
Baud rate select (2: 300BPS, 4: 1200BPS, 5: 2400BPS) ?
Mode select (1: BELL, 2: CCITT) ?
Select the baud rate and mode for the card modem and press
Enter
to execute
the subtest.
Subtest 06
Interrupt Test This subtest checks the Interrupt Request Level of IRQ 4, 3 and
5 from the send side.
