Disconnect the

flexible cable

and remove the diskette drive from the bracket.

Installing the Diskette Drive

To install the diskette drive, follow the steps below and refer to figures 4-9 to 4-12.

Seat the

diskette drive

in the

metal bracket

and secure

four M2x3 screws

Connect the

flexible cable

Seat the

diskette drive

in the

lower plastic cover

and set the

plate

in place.

Set the

upper plastic cover

in place and be careful that the flexible cable is not

pinched. Secure

two M2x6 screws

and

four M2x3 screws

Insert the

diskette drive

in the computer and press gently so the drive is flush with

the computer.

Hold the

diskette drive

flush to the computer and push the lever down until it

snaps into place.

Lock the

release lever lock

Install the optional memory module, optional PCMCIA card, and battery pack as
described in sections 4.4, 4.3, and 4.2.
