Cassette insertion operation

When the cassette is inserted into the paper feed

pedestal, the cassette latch pushes up the lever

arm, lowering the PFP pick-up roller.

(The roller does not lower itself onto the paper in

the cassette.)

The cassette switches on the rear side detect

whether a cassette is inserted or not.
