Part I: Getting to Know Your Computer
Exploring Your Options
Emulating a full-size keyboard
174
Never remove a SCSI card while any of the SCSI
devices connected to it are operating.
DEFINITION: SCSI is an acronym for Small Computer
Systems Interface. A single SCSI PC Card enables you to
connect several SCSI devices, such as a scanner or digital
camera to your computer.
Before removing a PC Card, shut it down by clicking the PC
Card (PCMCIA) icon on the taskbar. Once the PC Card has
stopped, you can safely remove it.
Emulating a full-size keyboard
Although the Satellite computer’s keyboard layout is
compatible with a standard full-size keyboard, it has fewer
keys.
Pressing the
Fn
key simultaneously in combination with one
of the specially marked keys allows you to emulate a full-
size keyboard. For further information and instructions, see
