Working area.
It is a place which takes the machine including optional extras and a necessary place for
lathe operator and materials handling.
Workshops where the lathe working area is delimitated must be pursuant to the valid
hygienic rules.
Besides, the working area must be enlarged of the necessary place for storage of auxiliary devices, material and workpieces
for machining and space for materials handling.
The lathe must be located at a minimum distance 600 mm from permanent obstacles (e.g. walls, columns, surrounding
machines) and at least 1000 mm from the operator point. These dimensions are measured from max. protruding parts of
lathe.
If the lathe is higher than surounding machines and a crane travels above it, the lathe must be coloured with mark or fitted
with caution lighting in the highest points.
The machine should be placed in the best lighting conditions with daylighting.
The artifical lighting must be in accordance with demands for material machining in the following points:
- lighting category
- colour tone of light
- grade of colour quality
- class of glaze limitation
10.3.
Operating position.
The operating position of the machine should be located in such a way so that the operator could not be disturbed by other
running machines and should not be faced back on to the main route in the close proximity from the operating point.
The floor in operating position must be fitted with humidity and termal insulation and as large as makes the safe movement
of the operator.
10.4.
Admissible conditions of suroundings:
The machine should be installed in closed rooms, halls and in bounded spaces where they
are prevented against the negative weather effects and excessive moisture:
•
It is not recommended to place the machine at the hall entrances, where a big
fluctuation of temperature and the great thermal dilatation can be occurred. The
geometric precision of the machine and working characteristics of oils could be
affected.
•
The machine should not be located in dusty and corrosive enviroment.
The lathe is capable to machining in the closed hall in temperature extend of +15 up to 40
C. In regard to the working
precision the operational temperature shall be in extend of +18 up to 22
C.
According to the working accuracy, the working temperature range should be from 18 to 22
o
C.
The relative humidity within 24 hours at a temperature of 20
o
C should never be increased above 80 %.
The different conditions should be a subject of agreement between the manufacturer and contractor of the lathe.
10.5.
Conditions for conection of machine to mains
:
(maintenance)
a) Conection of switchboard cabinet to electric power supply.
•
recommended cross section of the supply wires should be used:
Line voltage
Electric current of
Wire Cu
( V )
the machine ( A )
