Lathe is equiped with an emergency stopping device in case of urgent help and hazard which is connected with the
machining process.
Hazards can be occured:
- as a result of irregularities (malfunction of lathe, inacceptable characteristics of machined material, operator fault, etc.).
- in normal running.
Emergency stopping device
corresponds, in a conception type of lathe, to ČSN EN 418 Standard.
The emergency stopping device of lathe is a function which:
- defends against hazard.
- reduces existing hazard of operator.
- stops the lathe damage.
- stops the workpiece damage.
- is put into function by human activity only.
The emergency stopping device consists of:
- the controlling device which calls an emergency stopping alarm after putting its actuating mechanism into activity.
- the actuating mechanism which is a part of the controlling device controlled by the operator.
- the driving mechanism for motion of lathe.
