b) Connection of lathe to the switchboard cabinet:
•
The main motor with individual cable to the connectors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 , PE
•
Other motors with separate cables fitted with the connectors ( 16 + PE )
The 3 phase wires are connected to the terminal connectors marked U, V, W. The yellow - green ground protective wire is
to be connected on terminal connector PE.
The terminal board is fitted under the protective shield inside of the switchboard cabinet.
The door of the switchboard cabinet may be open only when the main switch is cut off.
The chip conveyor is connected directly to the switch board.
10.6.
Ensuring of ecological conditions:
The requirements for the ecological operation of lathe depend on the local ecologic
specification the user’s in country and must be a subject of relations between the user and the contractor. They also depend
on the generally valid requirements for ecology of machine devices.
Generaly valid requirements for ecology of the lathe operation:
- The quality of cutting lubricant and oils must be observed continuosly by the operator and the lathe maintenance in
accordance with the recommendation in this Manual.
- The user has to take steps against leaking the cutting lubricants and oils into the surrounding area of the lathe
when manipulated.
- Save guards against chips and the spraying of cutting lubricant should be used in the turning process.
- The turning process must not be connected with evaporation emission from materials and cutting lubricants.
- The liquidation of cutting lubricants and oils must follow the requirement of their suppliers.
(The economic point of view for oils and cutting lubricants is influenced by expenses for their liquidation).
- Chips from turning operation should be liquidated before transportation or removed cutting lubricant from them or avoid
leaking cutting lubricant.
If turned without cutting lubricant (e.g. when grey cast iron is turned) it is necessary to stop the emission of cast iron dust.
- CAUTION: Procedure of liquidation for oils and cutting lubricants is not a subject of this Manual but it must be an integral
part of Departmental Directive of the lathe user. In the same way the other things which have come into contact with these
liquids (e.g. rags, wooden sawdust etc.) must be liquidated too.
10.7.
The previous measures from the user part.
It is necessary to:
- build a rigid foundation for the erection of lathe.
- have a sufficient power supply for the connection of lathe to the mains.
- ensure the liquidation used cutting lubricants and oils.
- ensure the continuons inspection of lathe pieces with a lowered durability.
