4.1 Safety features
The DEEP BLUE system is equipped with a wide range of safety features.
Safety features
Function
Insulation monitor
Monitors the status of the insulation of the high-volt-
age power network, and issues a warning if the insula-
tion is compromised.
Emergency Stop
Stops the propeller immediately, and switches off the
high-voltage batteries.
Pilot-line
Stops the propeller immediately, and switches off the
high-voltage batteries when the lanyard is actuated;
this must be connected to the wrist or life jacket of the
skipper.
Fuses
To avoid fire/overheating in the event of a short circuit
or overload of the DEEP BLUE system.
Venting system
Is used for venting dangerous gases from the boat’s in-
terior in the event of a battery fault.
Electronic
accelerator lever
Ensures that the DEEP BLUE system can be switched on
only in the neutral position, in order to prevent acci-
dental operation of the DEEP BLUE system.

4.2.1 Principles
Operate your DEEP BLUE system in compliance with all local safety and accident pre-
vention regulations.
Before delivery, the DEEP BLUE system was designed and manufactured with the ut-
most care and with a special focus on convenience, user-friendliness and safety, and
it has been extensively tested.
However, unintended use of the DEEP BLUE system may result in danger to the
user's life and limb or of third parties, in addition to extensive property damage.
