Removing the Battery
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and lower the loader arms.
2.
Shut off the engine and remove the key.
3.
Remove the battery as shown in

Charging the Battery
WARNING
Charging the battery produces gasses that
can explode.
Never smoke near the battery and keep sparks
and flames away from battery.
Important:
Always keep the battery fully charged
(1.265 specific gravity). This is especially
important to prevent battery damage when the
temperature is below 0°C (32°F).
1.
Remove the battery from the machine; refer to
Removing the Battery (page 35)
.
2.
Charge the battery for 4 to 8 hours at a rate of
3 to 4 A (
). Do not overcharge the
battery.
