Setting service center number
To enable the SMS feature you should ask your service supplier the service center
numbers and store it in your phone as follows:
1. Press the MENU soft key, then press the arrow keys to choose
Favorite, then press SELECT soft key and select 3:SMS by
the arrow keys. Press the SELECT soft key.
2. Press the arrow keys to choose 5:SMS Settings, then press the
SELECT soft key.
3. Press arrow keys to choose 1:Service Ctr1 or 2:Service Ctr2,
then press the SELECT soft key.
4. Enter the service number using the numeric keys. You can enter up
to 16 digits and press the OK soft key to save the setting.
6. To exit, press the
key.
You can access the SMS menu only when the handset is inside the radio
coverage of the base.
At step 3, please note that Service Ctr1 is for messages being sent and
Service Ctr2 are for messages being received.
Setting terminal number*
When more than one handset is registered to one base, setting the terminal number
on each handset is required. It allows the message sender to specify the handset
which will receive the message by entering the addressee's terminal number. You
can set each terminal number with a number from 1 to 9.
You can enter the same terminal number in more than one handset.
If you do not enter the terminal number, the handset is automatically set to the
terminal number 1.
